Music Director and Conductor of the orchestras of Saskatoon (1993-97), Shreveport (1996-2003), and from 2002 - May, 2012, Music Director and conductor of North Dakota’s Minot Symphony Orchestra. Guest conducting has included the Toronto Symphony and the Victoria Symphony; the USA; Europe; and Australia.

Guest artists included Andre Watts, Leonard Nimoy, and Anoushka Shankar.


As a violinist, founder Leader of the Alberni String Quartet; Co-Leader of the London Philharmonic Orchestra; Leader of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra; solo violinist on three continents and over 20 solo broadcasts for the BBC.


Has taught violin at Chetham's School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. Has given violin masterclasses in the UK and Canada including at the Banff Centre of the Arts, University of British Columbia and Wells Cathedral School.
